Sean Spanbauer MS, RD, CSSD, LDN, CSCS
Sports Dietitian – Human Performance Specialist - Veteran

Sean is a Registered Dietitian, Board-Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and retired Army Officer with more than 25 years of military service.  With nearly two decades of experience in nutrition and almost 15 years in strength and conditioning, Sean brings a rare combination of nutrition science, physical performance, and real-world leadership experience to his work with clients.

Throughout his career, Sean has worked with people who operate at a high level—and whose performance matters.  His experience includes U.S. Special Operations personnel, Olympic and world-class athletes, collegiate and professional athletes, military and civilian first responders, and individuals looking to improve their health, fitness, and quality of life.

Sean served as a nutrition leader within the Special Operations community and previously served as the nutrition proponent for U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).  He also spent 12 months as a Sports Dietitian Fellow at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, working with athletes across a variety of sports.  His professional experience includes consulting with the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee, athletic organization, tactical organizations, and performance focused executives and teams.

His expertise extends beyond nutrition.  Sean has extensive experience in strength and conditioning, exercise physiology and testing, body composition assessment, injury recovery, dietary supplements, and healthy aging. He has also served as an international speaker and educator, helping professionals and organizations translate complex nutrition and performance science into practical strategies.

What sets Sean apart is his practical approach.  He believes nutrition should support the demands of real life—not add another set of unrealistic rules.  Whether the goal is improving athletic performance, maintaining strength and function with age, performing under pressure, recovering from injury or simply feeling and functioning better, Sean develops personalized strategies based on the person’s goals, physiology, schedule, and environment.

Sean holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Kent State University and a Master’s Degree in Nutrition from Baylor University.

His mission is simple:  help people perform better, think sharper, and age stronger through evidence-based nutrition and performance strategies built for real life.
